About Judith

Judith Alexis Craig, RSW, is a trans-racial, transnational, foundling adoptee from Haiti who was adopted into a white Canadian family in the early 1980s. As a foundling, Judith had no identifying information about her family or history but always had an intense yearning to connect with her biological family. Being raised in an era where her sense of belonging in her adoptive family was questioned by society, Judith’s desire to search intensified, and she returned to Haiti in 2007, documenting her experiences in the film
Adopted ID. She is presently completing her memoir on her adoption, search, and reunion.

Judith is a registered social worker, consultant, therapist, author, and facilitator who has worked with children, families, and professionals for over 20 years. Judith develops and facilitates engaging workshops and is a passionate international speaker, and author featured as a panellist and in various print, radio, and television media outlets. Judith is the co-founder and co-facilitator of the Adult Adoptee Network, a safe space for adult adoptees to connect with one another.
